Starting Something NEW

I haven’t posted in about a week, the hubby was working out of town and with school and just everyday life, I didn’t get a chance to sit down…!

How many of you have a craft, hobby, interest or actually take time for yourself? I LOVE to read…I read all the time! My hubby got me a Kindle for Christmas one year and I LOVE it! So it’s somewhat of my relaxing time during the day!

Even though I read all the time, I decided to jump on the band wagon (actually, it just opened in our town)…so what did I do? I joined a gym…Planet Fitness!! It’s pretty inexpensive and the hubby is all for it!! It gives me time to myself, time to get healthy and he gets to hang out with the kiddos!! I’ve only been once…just joined Tuesday…I’m a little sore, but planning on going back tonight.

To confirm what I had been thinking about…this past week, during our MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers) that I go to a couple times a month, spoke about “Being Creative”…finding something to do for yourself as a mom and wife. In doing something for yourself, you will regain energy, purpose and refuel. So that’s one of the reasons that I decided to join and find something to do for ME! Going to the gym will definitely help me personally, but help me to refuel and feel good…therefore, being better for my hubby and kiddos!

Also, your hubby needs this time too. So give him time to find a hobby or interest to give him time to relax too…(easier said than done I know)…


So find something whether it is exercising, crafting, reading (which I LOVE to do) or cooking…whatever it might be to do for YOU! Let me know in the comments below…
